Growers at a papaya plantation in Yingde needed a more controlled environment to support stable fruit development. Open-field cultivation left the papaya trees vulnerable to heavy rain, strong winds, and sudden temperature drops—common in the region. Excessive moisture during rainy seasons increased the risk of root diseases, while inconsistent light exposure affected flowering and fruit sweetness. These environmental challenges made it difficult to maintain yield consistency and fruit quality across the plantation.
FANGCHENG designed a reinforced multi-span greenhouse specifically adapted for papaya cultivation. The structure featured increased height to accommodate the natural growth of papaya trees and to improve airflow within the canopy. High-transparency film ensured sufficient sunlight for vigorous photosynthesis, while ridge and side ventilation systems helped regulate heat and humidity. Reinforced steel frames enhanced wind resistance, and improved drainage channels prevented water accumulation around root zones. Insect-proof screening further supported a cleaner, healthier growing environment.
After completion, the greenhouse created a significantly more stable microclimate for the papaya plantation. Fruit set became more consistent, disease pressure dropped, and the trees developed stronger, healthier growth. Growers reported improved fruit size, sweetness, and appearance, along with reduced weather-related losses. The new greenhouse structure greatly enhanced overall production reliability and commercial value.
