South China Agricultural University required an upgraded research greenhouse to support crop trials, controlled-environment experiments, and student training. The older facilities struggled with inconsistent temperature control, limited light management, and insufficient space for conducting parallel experiments. Seasonal humidity fluctuations also affected experimental accuracy, making it difficult for researchers to maintain stable growing conditions for sensitive crops. The university needed a modern glass greenhouse capable of delivering high transparency, precise climate regulation, and research-level reliability.
FANGCHENG designed a customized glass greenhouse with enhanced structural durability and optimized light transmission. A fully automated ventilation and shading system was integrated to maintain consistent environmental parameters throughout the year. The greenhouse featured separate experimental zones, each capable of independent climate control to support different research projects simultaneously. Reinforced drainage, insect-proof screening, and safety-access pathways were added to ensure a clean, stable, and professional research environment.

After completion, the greenhouse significantly improved the university’s capacity for agricultural experimentation. Light levels became more uniform, temperature and humidity stayed within research-defined ranges, and experiment repeatability improved. Faculty and students now benefit from a reliable, well-regulated facility that supports teaching, scientific research, and long-term crop studies with greater precision and efficiency.
