A livestock farm in Baiyun District, Guangzhou was looking to upgrade its housing facilities to improve temperature stability and reduce the impact of the region’s humid, subtropical climate. Traditional open sheds made it difficult to maintain a comfortable environment for the animals, especially during periods of strong sunlight or sudden temperature drops. The client needed a structure that could offer better insulation and help regulate the microclimate more effectively.

FANGCHENG designed and installed a double-layer film livestock greenhouse that provides enhanced thermal performance compared to single-layer structures. The air gap between the two film layers helps reduce heat loss at night and minimizes heat gain during the day, creating a more balanced interior environment. The bright, diffused light inside the greenhouse improves visibility for daily management while keeping the animals protected from direct sunlight and rain.
To ensure proper ventilation, side openings were added to promote continuous airflow and prevent humidity accumulation—an essential feature for livestock health in Baiyun’s climate. The reinforced frame was built to withstand local weather conditions, offering long-term durability with minimal maintenance requirements.

Once the greenhouse was operational, the farm noticed more stable indoor temperatures, reduced moisture buildup, and improved overall animal comfort. Feeding and cleaning routines also became more efficient due to the brighter and more organized interior layout. The double-layer film design provided the farm with a reliable and cost-effective upgrade that improved daily operations and long-term productivity.
