Growers in Haizhu District had been working in aging single-span greenhouses that no longer met the needs of modern cultivation. The structures lacked proper insulation, causing large temperature fluctuations between day and night. During Guangzhou’s long rainy season, poor ventilation and limited airflow resulted in excessive humidity, frequent pest outbreaks, and uneven crop growth. These problems directly affected yield stability and increased production risks.

To address these issues, FANGCHENG carried out a full site evaluation and proposed a multi-span film greenhouse tailored to the local climate. The new greenhouse was built with reinforced steel frames to withstand high humidity and coastal winds. High-transparency film improved light penetration, while ridge and side ventilation systems enhanced air circulation. Anti-insect nets were added to all openings to reduce pest pressure, and an upgraded gutter and drainage system ensured smooth water discharge during heavy rainfall.

After the new structure was completed, the internal climate became significantly more stable. Temperature and humidity remained within ideal ranges, pest incidents dropped noticeably, and the crops achieved more uniform growth. The growers reported improved yield quality, reduced seasonal losses, and better overall production efficiency—making the project a strong upgrade from the previous facilities.
