Growers in the Jinsheng area of Boluo, Huizhou relied on traditional shelters that could no longer meet the needs of modern cultivation. The structures offered limited protection from fluctuating temperatures and high humidity, especially during the rainy season. Poor ventilation caused heat buildup on sunny days, while inadequate drainage often led to excessive moisture around the root zone. These unstable growing conditions resulted in uneven crop performance and reduced seasonal yield reliability.
FANGCHENG assessed the growers’ needs and designed a reinforced single-span greenhouse tailored to the local climate. The new structure featured improved roofing height for better airflow, side ventilation windows to regulate temperature, and high-transparency film to enhance light conditions. Upgraded drainage channels and insect-proof screening were added to maintain cleaner, healthier planting environments throughout the year. The design prioritized simplicity, durability, and ease of daily operation.
After installation, the greenhouse provided a noticeably more stable microclimate. Heat accumulation decreased, humidity became easier to control, and plants grew more uniformly. Growers reported fewer weather-related losses, improved crop quality, and greater confidence in maintaining consistent production across different seasons.
