Local mushroom growers in Heyuan were facing difficulties maintaining the strict environmental conditions required for high-quality mushroom cultivation. Their old sheds had poor insulation, causing large temperature fluctuations between day and night. Humidity often rose uncontrollably during rainy weather, and the lack of proper air circulation led to issues such as contamination, slow mycelium growth, and inconsistent yields. These environmental challenges made it hard for growers to achieve stable, predictable production.

FANGCHENG evaluated the growers’ production process and designed a specialized mushroom greenhouse focused on precise climate control. The upgraded structure used insulated film materials to reduce temperature loss and included a controlled ventilation system to maintain steady airflow without disrupting humidity levels. Moisture-retention features and shading options were added to help create the darker, high-humidity conditions that edible mushrooms require. Reinforced drainage channels and anti-contamination measures further reduced disease risks.

Once completed, the greenhouse provided a stable, clean, and well-regulated environment. Mushroom growth cycles became more consistent, contamination rates dropped, and overall yield improved significantly. Growers reported better product quality and increased profitability, with production no longer heavily affected by seasonal weather changes.
